Ambarisa das: Radha Jivan “no longer represents the TOVP”

Radha Jivan Terminated

Media Source:

Dear Maharaj and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

It is with deep regret that the TOVP team is severing its ties with Radha Jivan Prabhu. Radha Jivan has done tremendous work for the TOVP fundraising effort at great personal expense. Lately however, he has become very strident in his personal ambitions concerning his position, and therefore we are ending all association between him and the TOVP. This will mean he no longer represents the TOVP under any circumstance and thus should not be facilitated at any ISKCON temple or project as far as TOVP fundraising is concerned.

You should though rest assured that we have a very competent team who will continue to work with the ISKCON temples worldwide. Our program will continue unabated. I am sorry it has come to this, but Srila Prabhupada’s TOVP project is no place to exercise such personal ambition.

Wishing to remain your humble servant, Ambarisa das

Regarding recent disturbances in Mayapur and Radha Jivana’s recent remarks

“Devotee means he is able to tolerate all kinds of discomfort and whims of the material nature, and because he is so much absorbed in serving Krishna, he takes no time to become angry or take offense with others or find out some fault, no. Devotee means very liberal and kind to everyone, always gentleman under all kinds of conditions of life.”

(Srila Prabhupada letter, December 10, 1972)

Hare Krishna Dear ISKCON Leaders, Prabhus, and TOVP Supporters.

Please accept my obeisances. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Many of you may have received an email from Radha Jivan regarding the situation in Mayapur, that also included a statement from myself. This did not come from the Mayapur or North American TOVP offices, and has not been authorized by the TOVP management, although supposedly signed by the North American TOVP Team. You may receive other communications from him in the future and it is our request that you please ignore them and turn to official TOVP sources for information. Radha Jivan has been relieved of his position as Fundraising Director due to recent disturbances he created in Sridham Mayapur. The complete story is not factually represented in his email or speeches, nor do differences amongst devotees call for such upheaval as he created in the Holy Dhama and within this beloved project undertaken for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada and Mahaprabhu.

Please rest assured that the project is in good hands. There is an extensive TOVP Team throughout the world headed by myself, Vraja Vilas, Sadbhuja and our beloved Jayapataka Maharaja, and the construction and fundraising steadily proceed. It has been a regretful experience to deal with since Radha Jivan has served the project so faithfully over the last three years and spearheaded many programs that raised millions of dollars, for which we are most appreciative. However, for the sake of continuing the forward momentum of the project the turbulence and dissension he created could not be tolerated and the greater cause of the TOVP had to take precedence over one individual.

Devotees around the world need to work in cooperation to help this temple manifest as predicted by Sri Nityananda Prabhu. We are humbled by all the support and encouragement we have received from all of you. Please continue to show your support despite whatever trials and tribulations maya sends our way.

Thank you very much for your commitment to the TOVP and your patience.

Yours in service,

Ambarisa das

TOVP Chairman
